Beyond Grace

As I scan the acreage of our land here at Jireh Family Farm, I am overwhelmed at God’s grace.

There is much to be thankful for in this season that involved the novel COVID -19 virus.  In a season when caring for strengthening the immune system is so important along with meat shortages  and recalls it has turned out to a good season on the farm.  We have have been able to help support the community by providing a clean, healthy meat source for our surrounding neighbors giving them the option to buy local and visit the farm where their meat was actually grown and produced.  Immanuel and I enjoy working the land and visiting with friends and neighbors who stop by to tour and our purchase meat and/ or eggs.  As I think about the past six months I am astonished at how society has lived differently but this morning I was reminded that God gives grace beyond.

I found this  definition of Grace:  the freely given, unmerited favor and love of God; the influence or spirit of God operating in humans to regenerate or strengthen them; a virtue or excellence of devine origin: the Christian graces;  the condition of being in God’s favor or one of the elect.

In this season, I have come to really appreciate the little things in life and now slow down to pay attention to the detail.  Well, someone how God has revealed the miracle in all he does.  How plants grow from a seed into a plant, produce leaves, mature, and eventually flower.  The flowers bring such beauty with shades of colors and numerous shapes.  And eventually there is seed produced so that it can all start again.  Regardless of where we are God gives grace for new days and seasons in our own life.  We can renew ourselves and have do overs.  What a blessing it is to have a do over every now and then.
